This course is dedicated to those divers who have experience in cave diving with sidemount equipment.
The training is based on self-rescue procedures, which are the keys to reduce the psychological stress when diving
in small size caves.
Includes necessary techniques to pass major restrictions and the knowledge for recalculation of thirds during the dive.
Minimum 4 full days; lectures, open water session, 6 cave dives
The courses Survey Cave Diver and Cartography Cave Diver are for advanced divers with proven experience in cave diving.
Minimum 3 full days: lectures, confined water session, 3-4 cave dives.
The students learn the techniques and materials necessary for a cave survey and data processing in order to obtain the cave topographic plan in two dimensions.
This is the first step not only for those who intend to undertake a mapping project, but also for those who are willing to carry out exploration dives.
The process is based on the use of Compass® software
It is strongly recommended the use of side-mount equipment.
Minimum 3 full days: lectures, confined water session, 3-4 cave dives.
This course is complementary to the Survey Cave Diver; the topographic plans of the guidelines are a starting point to get detailed maps of underwater caves.
The process is based on the use of vector graphics software
The use of side-mount equipment is strongly recommended.
There is not an IANTD certification for this level of training.
This course is for advanced divers with proven experience in cave diving.
Minimum duration is 4 full days: lectures, confined water session, 6 stage cave dives.
The students learn the techniques and safety procedures to plan and conduct cave dives with the use of stage(s) cylinder(s) in order to extend the penetration over the range of the main gas volume.
Longer dives, more complex navigation and gas management make this course really challenging for cave divers.
This course is for advanced divers with proven experience in cave diving.
Minimum duration is 4 full days: lectures, confined water session, 6 DPV cave dives.
The students learn the techniques and safety procedures to plan and conduct cave dives with the use of Diver Propulsion Vehicle in order to save time to reach a specific site in the cave system.
Increased speed, complex navigation and gas management make this course really challenging for cave divers.
